SSD has limited life left but only used for 4000 hours!?
WebDec 9, 2024 · I have two identical internal SSD's. Just recently, the"Crystal Disk Info" utility Crystal Dew World shows one of them as Health Status: Good, 99%. Previously, both were listed at 100%. When I click on the Health Status button, this comes up. I'm not sure what to do, if anything, with the information given by the "Remaining Life" slider. WebI have a set of 500GB Crucial MX500s that exhibit similar behavior, but not as bad. For example, one of them has 39% life remaining with 27TBW. The write endurance is supposed to be 180TBW. I've taken a lot of care to ensure I don't have any alignment issues and I even have mine overprovisioned by 70GB (~15%). I've given up on mine.
