Unfortunately the lighting system in fallout's engine is weird, so the flashlight's light always looks really funky. I personally wouldn't recommend it if you're going for realism, but it gets the job done of lighting up dark areas. I would say go with Project Nevada instead and find a helmet with nightvision. 2
