Web25 jun. 2011 · Abstract. The angular dependences of 19 F NMR spectra have been measured in the external magnetic field of 0.5 T oriented in the basis plane of LiTbF 4 at the room temperature. We have obtained the constants of transferred hyperfine interaction and the corrected set of crystal field parameters for the Tb 3+ ions in LiTbF 4. WebTb3+ in LiTbF4 exhibits a high quantum efficiency, and its radiative lifetime is confirmed to be 7 ms. Instead, the ionic conductor Tb0.81Ca0.19F2.81, which presents a high concentration of vacant sites, shows a lower quantum efficiency and a radiative lifetime about three times larger than estimated.
